Official OOTW WebsiteRobo Luv Trilogy Webcomic

SATURDAY 10/3/09

As you probably gathered from my previous post(s) and general lack of updates I have been, and continue to be, super busy with lettering jobs. Appearing above are a few of the most recent titles I’ve worked on (all currently available at your friendly neighborhood book store FYI ;) In addition I’m excited to be working on the lettering for several smaller-scale projects that may be making there way to an online site in the not-too-distant future.

I’ll be sure to post an update if anything develops…

Well, you can't blame a guy for being optimistic. Here we are a few months later and production on my new comic has once again screeched to a halt. What can I say except I'm still trying to find the right balance between work, play, and hobbies (the latter category being the one webcomics stuff falls under). Work once again has been occupying the majority of my time lately as I've just recently accepted two more projects. Rest assured I have no intention of throwing in the towel on the webcomics work anytime soon but I just have more important matters I need to focus on for the time being.

In the meantime I'll try to post pictures of any new releases I've done some lettering work for (see above for the latest example). Gotta catch 'em all. ;)

TUESDAY 3/24/09

Hullo all! As predicted in September a couple of new lettering projects have been keeping me super busy at work for the past several months. I'm just now getting to the point where I'm able to free up some extra time to work on my webcomics again. Recently I've done layouts and started pencils for a new mini-comic (the first of three in a series) which should be ready soon. Having been away from the drawing board for so long I'm feeling a bit rusty with the lead rendering skills but I'm sure I'll get my groove back after a few more sessions. Most importantly I'm just happy to be in comic creator mode again, if only for a few hours a week.

For anyone curious about the lettering projects I've been working on lately they include Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure volume 4 & 5, Yu-Gi-Oh R volume 1, Dogs: Prelude volume 0 (see above), and Dragon Ball Z volume 4 Big Edition, all due to be released in the upcoming months from VIZ Media.

Anyway I got to get back to work. Hope to have a new comic up next update.

The collected comics of everyone's favorite Licensable Bear, NOW AVAILABLE!

Hey would ya look at that, I'm finally back in action here in website update land. Wanted to briefly plug Licensable Bear's Big Book of Officially Licensed Fun. It's a collection of every comic ever published depicting the affable animal (forty in all including two illustrated by myself). Interested parties can currently find competitively-priced classics collection at your friendly neighborhood comic store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.

Also wanted share this link to a presentation by comic book guru Scott McCloud. Scott has a real knack for deconstructing the comic page and looking at it in both interesting and new ways. The presentation summarizes a lot of the points from his popular line of books from which I draw a lot of inspiration for my own work. Thanks Uncle Jim for the link!
